We all know that first impressions count, therefore it’s easy to understand that restricted access to suitable interview clothing can be a barrier to getting into work.

That’s why we have set up Working Wardrobe; a personal styling service which gives people the outfit and confidence they need to get the job that they deserve.

Delivered by Groundwork Greater Manchester from a range of different pop-up locations across Greater Manchester, the Working Wardrobe team, along with a range of partners who support people into employment, arrange one to one mobile styling appointments for GM residents.

At the appointment, clients will work with a personal stylist to choose clothing, shoes and accessories for their interview, as well as receiving advice from our team of employment specialists who will help with 1-2-1 interview preparation. The clothing is theirs to keep, at no cost to them.

Those who are successful at their job interview are welcomed back to select a capsule wardrobe of clothing to wear at their new workplace.

In addition to interview support, Working Wardrobe also offers workwear for residents who have already secured paid employment, but require clothing to be able to accept the offer and start their new position.

Clients who are unsuccessful at interview will receive ongoing signposting from the Working Wardrobe team in order to identify further support and alternative routes to progression and employment.
