Working Wardrobe is a mobile service, providing support to individuals across Greater Manchester who are interviewing for paid employment, training or apprenticeship and those who have secured employment and need clothing in order to start.
Working Wardrobe currently covers Salford, Trafford & Stockport, appointments can only be made through a registered referral partner. We currently do not accept self-referrals.
We use both an electronic referral form and also Elemental to receive client information securely. Once we have received a referral, a member of the team will contact the client to discuss their upcoming interview or job start and complete pre-dressing forms around style and location preferences, as well as sizes and any additional needs.
The client is then sent an appointment confirmation via email or text, and a reminder the day before the scheduled session.
The Working Wardrobe service is mobile, operating from various pop-ups across Greater Manchester. All clothing stock is transported using our zero emissions electric van to appointment locations where one of the team will set up a ‘pop-up shop'.
Upon arrival at their appointment, clients will work with a personal stylist to select an appropriate interview outfit. This will include clothing, shoes and accessories, and will be theirs to keep. Clients are encouraged to let their own style and personality shine through, and the stylist will help to match pieces together to find a winning outfit they feel confident in.
After an outfit has been selected the clients will receive intensive 1-2-1 interview coaching from our employment specialists to help build their knowledge, confidence and techniques for interview success. The team will work with the client to match their skills and experience to the job description and complete mock interviews to boost their self-belief and ability to answer questions effectively.
For those who are successful at their job interview, a second appointment will be arranged where the client can select a capsule wardrobe of clothing, free of charge, suitable for wearing at their new workplace.
If a client is unsuccessful, the team will stay in touch to provide support with signposting to alternative positions and other employment provision that may be able to help them find positive progression routes.
We contact all clients for feedback in order to help us understand how we can improve our service.
